Monday the Veterans played a stableford competition. The winner with 43 pts was J. Arthur, runner up ocb was P. Sheffield from K. Rhodes with 40 pts. The run down went to A. Pritchard, R. Parnell, A. Stick, D. Yeates & H. Hei with 38 pts, followed by E. Newlove & M. Hassan 37 pts and C. Greet, V. Wilson, E. Marshall & P. Cooper 36 pts. The pin shot were received by N. Casey & C. Van Daalen on 4/13 while 8/17 were received by P. Sheffield & M. Kuhnemann. The Encouragement Award was received by M. Kuhnemann while the Membership Draw jackpotted.
Sporters
Wednesday was the 1st round of the Championships sponsored by the Sporters. The winner with 44 net was R. Brooks, runner up was B. May ocb from F. Johnson with 45 net. The rundown went to G. Parker, J. Gillett, W. Gnech and W. Maudsley 48 net, followed by R. Scells & K. Rhodes 49 net. Thanks to the Dugandan Hotel for their sponsorship of the Dice, this week won by J. Handley. This week will be the 2nd round of Championships playing a stroke 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 sponsored by Simons Hotel. W. Gnech will be sponsoring the Best Gross for the Championships. Next week will be sponsored by the Aratula Hotel playing a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15. Sporters AGM & Christmas Drinks will be on the 10/12/14.
Friendly Friday
Friendly Friday’s had 17 players tee off for the Big Money Day, playing a stroke front 9 competition. The winner was R. Brooks with 30 net, runner up M. Weber 31 net, followed by W. Martin 32 net. The nearest the pins were received by S. Fahey, R. Fitzgerald and S. Fahey. The best gross was received by S. Fahey with 39 off the stick. Summer times are now in so be there 2.45 for a tee off at 3 pm. See you all there……………….

Philp with 40 pts. The run down continued with J. Handley & G. Parker 39 pts, M. O’Reilly, S. Edwards & A. Heit 37 pts and G. Philp, K. Rhodes and J. Comp 36 pts. The ladies winner was D. Wall 32 pts, runner up K. Cook 31 pts followed by L. Edwards 28 pts. Pin shots were received by D. Mortimer & D. Wall on 4/13, 8/17 was received by B. Gotke & D. Wall while 9/18 was received by G. Parker. The pro pin on the 4th hole is sponsored by Drummond Golf and was won by N. Toohey. The pro pin on the 17th is sponsored by Sugarloaf Bakery was won by P. McNiven. This week is sponsored Prosteam playing a stroke competition. This will be the last round of the Prosteam Cup, if you are in this you will want to play as double points are on offer.
