The Veterans started their year on Monday with a stableford competition. The winner was J. Pearce with 41 pts, runner up ocb was A. Prichard with 39 pts. The rundown went to V. Wilson, K. Chivers & A. Stick all with 39 pts, followed by C. Shannon, R. Parnell & K. Rhodes 37 pts, P. Sheffield 36 pts and D. Wall & J. Arthur 34 pts. Pin shots were received by I. Smith on 4/13 while T. Lynch & D. Wall received 8/17. The Encouragement Award was received by I. Smith. The Membership Draw was won by J. Arthur.
Sporters
Sporters returned on Wednesday playing a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition, sponsored by D. Forsyth. The winner with 28 pts was J. McGrath, runner up B. May 26 pts. The run down went to S. Fahey & R. Maudsley 25 pts and G. Sorensen & R. Fitzgerald 24 pts. Pin shots were received by R. Fitzgerald on 4, J. Dodd received 8, while W. Gnech received 9. Thanks goes to the Dugandan Hotel for the sponsorship of the dice, this week won by W. Gnech. This week will be sponsored by J. Maynard playing a stroke 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6. Next week will be John Allen Memorial sponsored by R. Scells, playing a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15.
Friendly Friday
Friendly Fridays had 18 players, play a 3 club + putter stableford competition. The winner was R. Brooks ocb from runner up R. Fitzgerald with 21 pts, followed by G. Eviston 19 pts and J. Handley 17 pts. The pin shot was received by G. Eviston. This Friday will be a stroke front 9 competition. Come along and enjoy a friendly 9 holes of golf teeing off at 3 pm. Saturday was Opening day sponsored by Drummond Golf Underwood (courtesy of Nic Hughes) playing a stroke/monthly medal competition. The A Grade winner ocb was B. May with 70 net. B. Grade winner C. Moncada with 70 net. C. Grade winner & Monthly Medal winner was K. Bridges with 60 net. The run down went to R. Fitzgerald 66 net, M. Frohmuller 70 net, followed by D. Forsyth, G. Philp, G. Parker & V. Christensen 71 net. Next best were R. Cuneo, J. Worley, T. Domjahn, J. Shine, R. Humphrey & B. Lingard all with 72 net. The ladies winner was A. Brown 70 net, runner up S. Kelly 72 net. Pin Shots were received by B. Lingard 4/13, the ladies K. Cook, 8/17 R. Watkins, A. Brown (ladies) and 9/18 was received by M. Frohmuller. The pro pin sponsored by Sugarloaf Bakery is currently held by R. Watkins with 6.4m. This week will be a stableford/monthly mug competition sponsored by J. & T. Lynch (Pin shots on all holes).
