Monday the Veterans travelled to Murwillumba. No results handed in.
Ladies
Wednesday the ladies played the Audrey Morris Memorial sponsored by Mrs Josie Newlove. The winner was Maureen Maynard on a count back from runner up Margo Leary. Pinshots were received by Anne Brown on 4/13 while 4/17 was received by Jan Baulch. Wednesday will be our Closing Day and Christmas Break Up. All lady members and Trophy donors are invited. Ring Jan Baulch if you haven’t already replied.
Wednesday Sporters
Wednesday the sporters played a 4BBB stableford competition sponsored by P. Ward playing 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6. The winners with 32 pts were J. Potter & G. Eviston, runners up R. Brooks & M. Crowther 31 pts on a count back from G. Sorensen & Simon Fahey. The run down continued with G. Parker & W. Hall 30 pts and R. Maudsley & F. Johnson, G. Searle & M. McGarrity, B. Brown & D. Forsyth all with 28 pts. The ntp’s were received by M. Crowther 13, G. Sorensen 17 and G. Searle on 18. Wednesday will be sponsored by R. Brooks & M. Crowther playing a stroke 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15. There will also be a putting competition. The next Wednesday will be sponsored by The Peak Pub, this will be an 18 hole competition with a Shotgun Start at 1 pm. Don’t forget the Sporters Championships will be played on the 5th & 12th December, followed by our AGM and Xmas Break-Up. The last competition day is the 19th December.
Friendly Fridays
We had 10 players for the Friendly Fridays. The winner was G. Eviston with 22 pts, runner up R. Brooks 21 pts. Next best were V. Wilson & M. Leary with 20 pts. The nearest the pin was received by R. Brooks. Please come along and enjoy a great afternoon and even stay for a meal.
Saturday
Saturday we played a 4 Ball Ambrose sponsored by A I S Insurance. Thanks goes to James and all his sponsors, as well as the girls in the drinks cart, and anybody who made the day the success it was. The winners with 52&7/8th were G. & C. Philp, M. Gnech and S. Edwards (they had 12 under for the day). Runners Up were N. D. & S. Hughes and L. Stokes 54&1/4, followed by A. & R. Featherstone, B. May & L. Edwards with 56 net. The Social winners were R E, A J, G T & J R on a countback from runners up J. Dover, B. Hubble, D. Gallagher & C. Wimmer, followed by Barry, Glen Cliff & N. Armstrong. 59 net. Nearest the pins were on all holes and were received by R. Eacott 1/10, 2/11 D. Mortimer, 3/12 A. Gill with an Eagel, 4/13 B. Freiberg, the ladies K. Cook, 5/14 J. Smith, 6/15 M. Grayson also an Eagle, 7/16 J. Smith another Eagle, G. Parker on 8/17 while 9/18 was received by A. Gill. The pro pin is sponsored by Sugarloaf Bakery is currently held by K. Turner with 6.2 metres. This week will be sponsored by Boonah Tyrepower playing a stableford competition. The following week will be sponsored by J. McGrath, J. Handley & P. King. The prizes on the day are a full rump steak along with pinshots on all holes. This will be a stroke competition as well as being the Monthly Medal playoff. If you have won a Monthly Medal during the year you are in the part of the competition, so come along and compete on the day.
Chookies
No results handed in this week. This Sunday, the Chookies can have a sleep in as we have a Social Club of about 30 teeing off at 6.45.
