Monday the Veterans played a Stableford competition. The winner with 41 pts was J. Potter, runner up P. Sheffield 37 pts. Next best were G. Sippel, J. Edwards & M. Kuhnemann with 36 pts followed by M. Cufi, D. Hastie & J. Arthur all with 35 pts. Nearest the pins were received by M. Kuhnemann 4/13, 8/17 was received by M. Cufi while the ladies went to R. Featherstone. The Encouragement Award was received by A. Henderson while the members draw was won by G. Henderson.
Wednesday Sporters
Last week the sporters played for Glen Sippels’ trophy playing a stroke 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15. The winner was M. Crowther with 42&2/3, runner up was L. Vandenbrink with 44&1/3. Next best was A. Featherstone with 44&2/3, A. Nunn 46 net, followed by S. Edwards 47&1/3 and G. Parker & J. Potter 49 net. The best gross was won by G. Parker with 53. Nearest the pins were received by G. Parker on 4, A. Skinner received 8, while 9 was received by G. Sippel. Wednesday will be sponsored by Don Webster playing a Stableford 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6. Next week will be sponsored by Sel Pfeffer playing a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15.
Friendly Fridays
We had 7 players on Friday with the winner being V. Wilson with 36 net, runner up was B. Jones on a count back from R. Brooks with 37 net, followed by M. McGarrity 38 net & M. Leary with 39 net. Saturday we played a 2 Ball Ambrose sponsored by B. Philp, G. Philp, C. Philp & K. Francis. The winners with 60.75 were G. Parker & Z. Eviston, runners up were R. Humphrey & T. Richardson with 61.5, the next best were B. May & A. Browning with 62 net on a count back from A. Heit & Simon Fahey, followed by B. Gotke & J. Smith and M. Gnech & S. Hughes with 64 net. The rundown continued with P. King & J. McGrath and A. & B. Brown with 66 net, G. & R. Philp 66.25, Scott Bennet & W. Jackson 67.25, T. Domjahn & G. Benstead 68.25 and J. Comp & S. Francis with 69 net. Pin shots were on all holes and received by M. Dickson on1/10, A. Heit received 2/11 & 3/12, R. Eacott and A. Brown received 4/13, 5/14 & 6/15 were also received by A.
