Veterans
Monday the Veterans played a stableford competition. The winner was M. McGarrity with 39 pts, runner up V. Riley with 37 pts The rundown went to C. Shannon 34 pts, K. Cook 33 pts, 1t. Lynch 32 pts ans E. Newlove 30 pts. The ntp’s were received by K. Cook on 4/13 while 8/17 was received by T. Lynch, and the ladies was received by K. Cook. The members draw jackpotted again.
Wednesday Sporters
Wednesday the Sporters was sponsored by Scenic Rim Pest Management playing a 4BBB stableford 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6. The winners were W. Maudsley & P. Ward on a count back from runners up J. Potter & T. Lynch and G. Searle & L. Roberts all having 29 pts. The run down continued with T. Farmers & Stuart Fahey and M. McGarrity & D. Webster with 28 pts. Nearest the pins were received by M. McGarrity on 13, A. Skinner on 17, while 9 was received by R. Cuneo. This week will be sponsored by Kalbar & District Community Bank playing a stroke 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15. Next weeks sponsor will be Dr Yeates playing a stableford 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6.
Friendly Fridays
We had 6 Friendly Friday’s play a 3 stick + putter competition. The winner with 33net M. McGarrity (Lakelands Professional), runner up was M. Leary 34 net followed by T. Lynch 36 net (star man with iron). Tee off time is now 2.30, so come along and enjoy Friendly Fridays and have a social drink.
Saturday
Saturday we played the Keith & Sheila Bartholomew Memorial sponsored by the Bartholomews. The A grade winner was Simon Fahey on a count back from D. McLean both had 69 net. B. grade winner was D. Forsyth 70 net, runner up M. Gnech 71 net. C grade winner G. Knox on a count back from S. Smith both had 70 net. The rundown went to V. Way 70 net, T. Moller, G. Meertens & M. McGarrity 71 net followed by C. Shannon, R. Biggs & P. Ledlie with 72 net. The ntp’s were received by D. Forsyth on 4/13, the ladies was received by A. Brown, B. May received 8/17, the ladies received by A. Brown, and 9/18 was received by R. Cuneo. The pro pin sponsored by Sugarloaf Bakery is currently being held by B. May with 38 cm. The ladies winner was A. Brown 68 net, runner up was K. Cook with 73 net.
This week will be Pro Steam trophy day sponsored by Brian Hutchinson. . This will be a 12 O’clock Shot Gun Start with morning tee times finishing at 7.30. Sunday the 1st July will be the Mens & Ladies Foursome Championships. The next week is J. Gillett, M. O’Reilly & D. Forsyth trophy. This will be a Monthly Medal Stroke competition. The chookies winner for the week is B. Lawrance with 18pts. Nearest the pin on 4 was won by P. Holdway. This week the chookies can play before 8 as we are playing Mens & Ladies Foursomes. No Social play until 1.30 – 2pm ring the club for details on the day.
