Veterans
Last Monday the Veterans played a stableford competition. The winner with 39 pts was M. Cufi, runner up was V. Wilson with 38 pts. The rundown went to T. Lynch 37 pts, P. Cooper 35 pts, D. Hastie 33 pts, followed by V. Riley 32 pts and E. Newlove & J. Arthur with 31 pts. H Ntp’s were received by T. Lynch on 4/13, 8/17 was received by M. Cufi, while the ladies was received by K. Cook. The Encouragement Award went to R. Featherstone.
Wednesday Sporters
Last Wednesday the Sporters played a Stroke 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 sponsored by E. Newlove & M. O’Reilly. The winner with 42&2/3 was B. Davey, runner up Stuart Fahey with 46&2/3. The rundown went to W. Maudsley with 47&2/3 and D. Currie with 48net. Nearest the pins were received by R. Scells on 13, R. Scells on 17, while 18 was received by W. Maudsley. S. Fahey won the putts with 16, while W. Maudsley won the best gross of 49. This week is being sponsored by G. Parker playing a Stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15. Next week will be sponsored by Boonah Tyre Service playing a Stableford 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6.
Friendly Fridays
We had 9 Friendly Friday’s players last week. The winner on a count back was T. Lynch from runner up R. Brooks, both had 34 net. The run down went to V. Riley, M. Leary & A. Henderson all having 37 net. Don’t forget the earlier time of 2.30 tee off now until further notice.
Saturday
Last Saturday was Cap Bruckners’ Memorial sponsored by his family. The winner with 40 pts was J. Comp, runner up W. Gnech with 39 pts. The run down went to G. Meertens with 38 pts, J. McGrath, G. Schmidt, W. Draheim, B. Brown and A. Stick with 35 pts, followed by G. Philp, R. McGrath, G. Balharry & B. Davey with 34 pts. The ladies winner was Gillian Buganey with 35 pts, runner up Anne Brown with 31 pts. The ntp’s were received by J. Comp on 4/13, the ladies was received by G. Buganey, J. Handley received 8/17, and 9/18 was received by G. Meertens. The pro pin sponsored by Sugarloaf Bakery is currently held by Brad Freiberg with 5.12 metres.
This week is the Lions Open Day, if wanting a game there is only a few tee off times available, with prizes in A. B. C. Grade plus Ladies and Social players are welcome to participate with all proceeds going towards Careflight. There will be a BBQ and refreshments available, as well as pin shots on all holes. The next week will by a stroke competition sponsored by The Guardian.

No chookies this week as we hosted the Hickory Sticks competition for the Moreton Districts, this week, please ring the club for details of Sundays events if wanting a game.
