Veterans
Last Monday the Veterans held their Fassifern Open Day playing a stableford competition. The winner with 33 pts was A. Pritchard, runner up on a count back was J. Grimshaw from B. Broderick both had 32 pts. The rundown continued with P. Cooper & K. Chivers with 31 pts followed by P. Sheffield, D. Pallister, V. Wilson & S. Rolley all with 30 pts. The ladies winner was L. Sperling with 30 pts, runner up K. Cook with 27 pts, followed by N. Zagami and D. Doherty with 25 pts. Ntp’s were received by B. Broderick on 4/13, 8/17 D. Pallister while the ladies was received by L. Sperling. The Encouragement Award went to M. Tynan.
Wednesday Sporters
Last Wednesday the Sporters played a 2 Ball Ambrose competition playing 1-9 + 10,14 &15 sponsored by J R Plant Hire (Aaron Lutter). The winners with 45 pts were T. Richardson & B. Hutchinson on a count back from runners up G. Roberts & F. Johnson. The run down went Simon Fahey & R. Maudsley 45&1/4, R. Cuneo & G. Parker, A. Stick & G. Searle 45&1/2 and W. Wieland & G. Searle with 47&1/2. Nearest the pins were received by M. McGarrity on 4, G. Searle 8 while 9 was received by Simon Fahey. This week is a Stroke 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 sponsored by E. Newlove & M. O’Reilly. Next week will be sponsored by G. Parker playing a Stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15.
Friendly Fridays
We had 9 Friendly Friday’s players last week. The winner with 23 pts was R. Brooks, runner up M. McGarrity with 21 pts, next best were V. Wilson and A. Featherstone with 19 pts. Come along and play this Friday at the earlier time of 2.30 as the days are getting darker earlier.
Saturday

Last Saturday was sponsored by the Kooralbyn Boyz. Thanks goes to Garry, Ian, Peter & Tim. The boys supplied winner and runner up trophies in A. B. & C. grades as well as the ladies. The A Grade winner was A. Browning with 71 net, runner up B. Freiberg with 73 net. The B Grade winner was D. Mortimer with 65 net, runner up P. Dadds with 70 net. C. Grade winner M. Dickson on a count back, from runner up M. McGarrity with 70 net. The run down went to W. Gnech 71 net, I. Kemp, W. Jackson and A. Wells with 72 net and M. Surawski 73 net. Brad Freiberg won the best gross for the day with 74 and will have his name put on the Trophy. The ntp’s were received by T. Lynch on 4/13, I. Kemp on 8/17 while A. Brown received the ladies, 9/18 was received by J. Browning. The ladies winner was A. Brown with 72 net, runner up K. Turner with 76 net. The pro pin sponsored by Sugarloaf Bakery is currently held by Brad Freiberg with 5.12 metres.
This week is a Stableford competition for Cap Bruckners’ Memorial Trophy and will be the May Monthly Mug. Next week is the Lions Open Day with prizes in A. B. C. Grade plus Ladies and Social players are welcome to participate with all proceeds going towards Careflight. There will be a BBQ and refreshments available, as well as pin shots on all holes.
Chookies
This week we are hosting the Hickory Sticks competition for the Moreton Districts.
Due to this the Chookies will have to have another sleep in this week.
