Veterans
Last Monday the Veterans played a Stableford event. The winner was B. Hall with 41 pts, runner up B. Brown with 38 pts. The rundown went to P. Sheffield 36 pts, followed by N. Casey 33 pts, C. Greet & V. Wilson both had 32 pts and K. Chivers, A. Featherstone and T. Richardson all had 31 pts.. The ntp’s were received by A. Brown on 4/13, B. Hall on 8/17 & A. Brown received the ladies on 8/17. The Encouragement Award went to A. Henderson.
Wednesday Sporters
Last Wednesday the Sporters played a 4BBB sponsored by the Commercial Hotel and the Golf Club. The winners with 32 pts were T. Richardson & D. Webster, runners up were Joe Dover & G. Searle with 30 pts on a count back from M. O’Reilly & M. McGarrity, followed by F. Johnson & P. Ward with 29 pts. The ntp’s were received by G. Sippel on 13, G.Parker received 17, while G. Sippel received 18. This week is will be sponsored by Wayne Gnech playing 18 holes of Stableford competition and will be a 1 pm Shotgun start. The next week will by a Stroke event playing 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 sponsored by Aaron Gill.
Friendly Fridays
We had 10 players playing a Stableford 1-9 competition for Friendly Friday. The winner with 17 pts was M. Leary, runner up V. Wilson with 16 pts. The run down went to B. Jones, R. Brooks and M. McGarrity with 15 pts. This week will be 10 -18 only playing with your irons. (No rescue, hybrids or woods allowed). Tee Off time is still 3 pm see you all then.
Saturday
Last Saturday was the Boonah Fishing Club Open Day. We thank the Fishing Club for putting on the day. The Fishing Club put on trophies in all divisions. The A. Grade winner was Joe McGrath with 42 pts, runner up Aaron Gill 41 pts followed by M. Morris beating G. Parker on a count back with 39 pts. B. Grade winner was T. Weatherhead 38 pts, runner up T. Richardson 37 pts followed by J. Bonk beating M. Gnech on a count back with 35 pts. C. Grade winner was C. Shannon 40 pts, runner up D. Forsyth 37 pts followed by S. Hughes beating M. Crowther on a count back with 35 pts. The ladies winner A. Brown with 35 pts, the runner up was D. Wall with 33 pts. The Social winner was R. Morris with 74 net, runner up S. Lutter 75 net followed by A. Johns 76 net. Pin shots were received by M. McGarrity on 4/13, ladies 4/13 K. Turner, 8/17 was received by J. McGrath almost a hole in one and 9/18 was received by W. Draheim. There was a Mystery Drive which was won by M. Morris. The pro pin sponsored by Sugarloaf Bakery is currently being held by W. Jackson with 3.54 metres. This week is being sponsored by Beaudesert Softdrinks, while Dr Yeates will sponsor Easter Saturday.
Chookies
No Chookies on Sunday so it will be held over until next week. Ring the club for details for this Sunday.
