Monday Boonah Veterans
Last Monday the veterans played a Stableford competition, the winner being Anne Brown with 36 pts and the runner up was Arthur Featherstone with 34 pts following in the rundown were Terry Lynch, Bob Brown, Ray Parnell with 33 pts, Clive Greet with 31 pts and Ailsa Henderson with 30pts. The NTP on 4/13 was received by T. Lynch, 8/17 was won by A. Brown and 9/18 was won by A. Featherstone. R Featherstone received by encouragement award this week.
Wednesday Sporters
Last Wednesday was sponsored by Terry Lynch for a stablford event back nine plus 7 – 9. The winner was Mick McGarrity with 28 pts, runner up was Gary Searle with 27 pts. The run down was M. Crowther, R. Brooks and A. Featherstone with 27 pts, next was G. Parker and P. Manitta with 26 pts, followed by D. Mortimer with 25 pts, following were G. Sippel, J. Grimsey and T. Richardson all with 24 pts. The NTP on 13 was D. Mortimer, 17 was received by J. Grimsey and 9/18 was received by M. Mcgarrity. This week we play a single Stoke 1-9+16-18 event for Sugarloaf Bakery trophy day and the following week we play for Arthur Featherstone Trophy Day playing a single Stableford 10-18+7-9 event, reminder that Sporters Pub Day will be held on Wednesday 19th of October, to start arranging you teams!
Friendly Fridays
Last Friday seen 15 golfers play a single Stroke 1-9 event and the winner for the afternoon was Syb Mudde having 29 net and the runner up was Ailsa Henderson having 31 net following in the rundown were Rob Brooks 32 net, Vern Wilson, Garth Henderson and Mark Crowther each having 34 net. Don’t forget the new time to start at 3pm, look forward to seeing you all then!
Saturday
Last Saturday was a Monthly Medal Stroke Competition sponsored by Geoff Ball, Paul Ledlie and Murray Christensen. The medal winner was John Gillett. A Grade winner was B. May with 70 net runner up was G. Parker with 72 net. B Grade winner was R. Humphrey with 71 net while the runner up was J. Bonk with 72 net. C Grade winner was J. Gillett with 69 net and the runner up was S. O’Connell with 70 net. Following in the rundown were G. Ball with 71 net, A. Smith, J. McGrath, P. Ledlie and M. Christensen all had 73 net. The next best was R. Cuneo, K. Francis both had 74 net. The ladies was won by G. Buganey with 83 net. Nearest the pins were won by R. Cuneo on 1/10, 4/13 was won by J. Buganey, 8/17 G. Sippel and 9/18 was won by B. May. The voucher winner was G. Parker. Next week is Steve and Lindy Edwards Trophy sponsoring a Stableford competition Monthly Mug event Mens and Ladies Competition with a few extra prizes for both men and women so come out and enjoy your game.
Chookies
The Chookies winner for this week was won by N. Cobbin with 20 pts and the runner up was R. Gilloway with18 pts. This week the Chookies can have a sleep in as we have a Social Teeing off at 7 o’clock.
