Monday Boonah Veterans
Last Monday the veterans played a Stroke competition for a Championship Round. The winner was C. Greet with 66 net. Runner Up was K. Chivers with 69 net. The rundown went to M. Maynard and E. Newlove both with 70 net, followed by B. Brown with71 net, and A. Feathestone and R. Brooks both with 72 net. The NTP on 4/13 was received by A. Brown, 8/17 was won by K. Chivers and the ladies on 8/17 was won by A. Brown. B. Hall received by encouragement award this week.
Wednesday Sporters
Last Wednesday a Stableford competition was sponsored by Arthur Featherstone, playing 10-18 + 7-9. The winner with 30 pts was Fred Johnson, runner up was Don Webster with 29 pts and the run down started with Les Roberts and Elwyn Newlove both with 28 pts, followed by Gary Sorensen with 27 pts, T. Lynch, M. O’Rielly and G. Roberts all with 25 pts, while R. Brooks, A. Featherstone and A. Gill all had 24 pts. The NTP on 13 was won by L. Roberts, 8/17 was received by G. Sippel and 9/18 was received by F. Johnson. This week we play a single Stableford 1 – 9 + 16 – 18 for Pub Day and next week will be a Stroke 1 – 9 +16 -18 Competition for IGA Supermarkets’ Trophy.
Friendly Fridays
Last Friday single Stoke 1 – 9 event and the winner for the afternoon was A. Featherstone with 34 net, the runner up was Margo Leary with 35 net followed by R. Brooks also with 35 net. Don’t forget the new time to start at 3pm, look forward to seeing you all then!
Saturday
Last Saturday was a wet and stormy day, but we had 33 players finish the day. The day was sponsored by Raceview Sand & Gravel whose day last year was washed out. Hope next year we have a nice fine day. The winner on a countback of 70 net was J. Buganey from T. Gnech who became the runner up for the day. The run down went to B. Hoskin also with 70 net followed by R. McGrath and J. Handley both with 72 net, and S. Hughes, V. Christensen, D. Mortimer, G. Parker, M. Grayson and J. McGrath all with 73 net. The pin shots were won by G. Parker on 4/13 while A. Brown won the ladies, 8/17 was won by J. Buganey and 9/18 was won by W. Jackson.
The ladies winner was Kris Cook with 86 net, and the voucher winner was Brendon Beasley.
This week we play a 4Ball Ambrose event for A I S Insurance Day. Afternoon slot is full but plenty of room in the morning if wanting to play. Next week will be Boonah Tyrepower Single Stableford Trophy. Timesheets are out now for the next couple of weeks.
